Château & Village Castigno

The Rebirth of a Dream

The best-kept secret of southern France.

Château & Village Castigno is a village-resort located in Assignan, Occitanie, France, dedicated to wine tourism and gastronomic experiences.

With 21 rooms spread across the village, three restaurants, an art gallery, a microbrewery, a spa, 30 hectares of vineyards, and a winery, it offers a space for digital detox, artistic creation, and deep connection with gastronomy as an immersive experience.

When we were invited to collaborate, the challenge was clear: how do you create a cohesive aesthetic vision for something as expansive as an entire village? This work was developed over four years, seamlessly integrating each element to create a unique and cohesive visual identity across all aspects of the project.

The identity is grounded in two key pillars: wine, which shapes the color palette, and the architectural and urban essence, which anchors the project. This approach preserves the town’s character and its connection to the surroundings, ensuring that the contemporary intervention honors its past while embracing the present.

The palette is built around shades of violet, red, and pink, creating a rich and expansive range that extends beyond the project’s visual identity to influence the spatial design itself.

Every space that welcomes visitors, be it rooms, dining establishments, or any corner of the resort, is carefully and deliberately colored, enhancing the feeling of a deeply sensory experience.

Our mission at Château & Village Castigno went beyond design; it became the creation of a visual ecosystem, bringing to life a village that is, in itself, an experience.
