Cuarteto de Nos
iction and Polysemy: Pillars of Graphic Interpretation
El Cuarteto de Nos is one of the most influential bands in Uruguayan rock, established in the ‘90s as a genre-defining reference, and a group we’ve been working with since 2022. Their irreverence, dark humor, punk spirit, sharp lyrics, critical take on the system, and existentialist touches are the hallmarks of their identity.
With 17 albums to their name, their impact is undeniable, cementing their status as a musical reference in Spanish-speaking culture.
Lámina Once, their latest studio album, marked the beginning of our journey with them.
Lámina Once
The Rorschach Test consists of ten inkblot plates designed to be interpreted subjectively. Lámina Once takes its name as a symbolic extension of this concept in its latest album.
The approach stems from a simple idea: an image can hold different meanings depending on the observer. To bring this concept to life visually, we created nine illustrations featuring abstract paint stains, emphasizing ambiguity and the diversity of interpretations as the core of the message.
In this same album, for the track "El cinturón gris", we developed a fictional character, a signature element of the band, that instantly resonated with the audience.
This character went beyond the songs and became an icon: fans bring it to life through cosplay and contribute to an ever-expanding universe of fan art, turning it into a true emblem of the band.
For the album Lámina Once, we designed not only the cover art but also the vinyl, the single cover for "La ciudad sin alma", the merchandising for "Chivo Expiatorio", the lyric video for Maldito show, alternative logo marks for merch, and the tour’s visual communication.
