The Joy of Making

Interihotel is the leading event in hotel and restaurant design, held annually in Madrid and Barcelona. Each edition brings together designers, hoteliers, restaurateurs, brands, and changemakers in a unique space where creativity, innovation, and collaboration converge to transform the industry.

For this edition, our studio developed the event’s identity under the concept of THE JOY OF MAKING, a celebration of craftsmanship and the pleasure of creating with one’s hands. A tribute to the art of designing hotels and restaurants, to responsible projects, to invisible technology, to craftsmanship and traditions that shape spaces with soul.

Inspired by the idea of a moodboard as part of the creative process, we designed an identity that explores the fusion of materials and the richness of textures, highlighting the essence of handcrafted work and its impact on hospitality design.

Each of the event’s themes was associated with a specific material, establishing a distinct visual code within a cohesive narrative.

This strategy allowed each graphic element to have its own identity while maintaining a unified aesthetic, ensuring that Interihotel 2022 became a visually articulated space, where every detail enhanced the visitor’s experience.

The identity was designed to seamlessly adapt to digital environments, preserving the richness of textures and materials across different formats, creating an engaging and faithful online presence.

Digital graphic pieces retained the layered visual play and contrasts, evoking the ever-evolving nature of a moodboard.

Beyond the digital sphere, the identity was also brought to life in the physical space.

Signage, exhibition spaces, editorial pieces, and communication materials incorporated collage-inspired elements, creating an immersive environment that embodied the THE JOY OF MAKING concept.

This integration between the visual and the tangible transformed the event into a unique sensory experience.

Interihotel 2022 established itself as a key meeting point for the industry, bringing together over 10,000 professionals in Madrid.

The event featured a rich program of conferences, workshops, and panel discussions led by top design figures.

The identity developed by our studio not only gave the event a distinctive character but also strengthened its positioning as a space where creativity and innovation materialize in every detail.
